How to use this calculator

Use the grade calculator to combine course scores with their credit hours or units. Hypercalcs calculates the weighted percentage, converts each course to the selected 4.0 or 5.0 GPA scale, and shows the overall A–F letter grade.

Quick examples

  • Mathematics 95% × 3 credits
  • Science 84% × 4 credits
  • English 76% × 2 credits
  • Compare the same courses on 4.0 and 5.0 scales

Steps

  1. Choose a 4.0 or 5.0 GPA scale.
  2. Enter each course name, percentage score, and credits.
  3. Add or remove course rows as needed.
  4. Select Calculate grade and review the weighted percentage, GPA, and letter grade.
How is the weighted percentage calculated?

Each course score is multiplied by its credits. Those values are added together and divided by the total credits.

How are letter grades converted to GPA?

Hypercalcs uses A, B, C, D, and F thresholds at 90, 80, 70, and 60 percent, then applies the selected 4.0 or 5.0 point scale.

Are my course scores uploaded?

No. Grade calculations run locally in your browser and are not sent to the Hypercalcs server.
